Temple Canyon's 7 song EP released December 13, 2023 available on Bandcamp.com
This record captures some of Mariko Ruhle's best songwriting to date and presents it in its purest state. Simplicity at it's finest, just a couple mics, an acoustic guitar and the voice of Temple Canyon, recorded live from a home in Austin, TX. Embracing the limitations of pandemic, motherhood and moving to a new state, you finally get to hear Temple Canyon songs naked as an autumn tree lost all its leaves dancing in the wind. For all the years of rocking in Seattle, there were always, open mics, house shows, and stripped down sets that enhanced the dynamism and culture of Temple Canyon. Now everyone can experience that intimacy on their own. Songs like One More stand out on this record as a nice departure from the usual poetic mysticism and instead a very direct window into the writings of soon to be parent. This record also includes band and fan favorite Reincarnation Electric which was a turning point song for Temple Canyon when deciding to remain a three-piece band upon the departure of former lead guitarist Kris Gray. This song helped solidify the new direction of the band, hear it now streaming everywhere as it was written one Halloween in Mariko's kitchen.

"Fortress channels the ideas and energy of their previous records into a whole new Cascadian freak happening. "
- Chris Estey - Big Freak Media // KEXP 90.3 FM // XO Publicity
When we decided to start recording Fortress, we were inspired to create something all by ourselves for the first time. We wanted to know how our creative process would be affected by working without an objective producer, and outside the confines of costly studio time. We also wanted to finally make a *vinyl* record, and knew this would take us one step closer to doing it. For anyone who doesn't know, making a vinyl is a long, involved, and crazy expensive process - quite foreign to our modern digital generation of music making. We were extremely grateful and relieved to learn that, within the insular confines of our Crybaby Studios practice space and under the limitations of recording and refining arrangements all alone, something truly beautiful, honest and priceless was able to surface from the deep ocean depths of our watery souls. Sometimes we struggled to move through logistical challenges - unpredictable metal bands practicing next door, technical meltdowns, communication lost in translation, unexpected financial burdens, the emotional overload of life's ongoing throes and transforming our lineup once again. We held tightly to each other, threw out our hang-ups, wrote new songs to replace ones that didn’t belong, and nearly broke up a few times over how fast a song was supposed to be. Now, like one’s “Saturn’s return,” we have arrived again - renewed, but retaining our historical essence - with a ten-song album that we hope will become a soundtrack of this exact moment in your life. We believe the stories in these songs of where we come from - the love, the loss, the surreality of our innermost thoughts and feelings, the nostalgia - will be something you can truly relate to and groove to.

Temple Canyon's 5 song EP released July 16th, 2017 available on Bandcamp.com
Thank You For Not Caring "the folllow up EP" is a memory of glory days and heartbreaks, punk rock shows and first times. Featuring guest vocals by Chris King (Chris King & The Gutterballs) and Noble Monyei (Dearly Departed, The Horde and the Harem). Produced by Richard Hoag (Boots To The Moon, Lonely Mountain Lovers, Antonioni).
"This is by far the most creative and developed music made by Temple Canyon yet. With a change in membership last year, the band found a fearlessness to indulge in new sonic realms. Temple Canyon's current lineup includes former members of local band Supply & The Man, whose shared experience brings a sense of ease and depth of exploration to the instrumentation. With deep personal and artistic connections between band members, Temple Canyon finds its place as a “Nostalgic Seattle Rock band.” With the greats of the region coursing through their veins, they bring a span of eras to your ears. " (Mixtape Mandi, Runaway Music)

It features former band members Steve Miller of Low Lands and Zach Warnes of Lonely Mountain Lovers, Singer-Songwriter Eric Miller on drums. “it sounds like a 40 some-odd year-old record from a long lost artist who played at Woodstock or something and then disappeared. It sounds like a beautiful time capsule.” - Raina Rose, Musician
